RSLogix Emulate 5000 uses two instructions that do not appear in the normal Logix5000 instruction set. These are the Tracepoint (TPT) and Breakpoint (BPT) instructions. These instructions are available on the Debug tab of the RSLogix 5000 instruction palette.
The Tracepoint instruction allows you to record data values so you can monitor how they change. These values can be displayed in a window or logged to disk. See Program tracepoints for information about using this instruction in your logic.
The Breakpoint instruction allows you to stop ladder logic execution when a given set of conditions are true. You can then trace back through the logic to determine why the conditions became true. See Program breakpoints for information about using this instruction in your logic.
